A significant Arctic blast is plunging much of the United States into frigid conditions, bringing single-digit low temperatures and snow from Texas to Maine. Overnight lows on December 5th are forecast to plummet into the single digits across multiple states, with central Illinois potentially experiencing record-breaking cold. The Northeast is already grappling with substantial snowfall, with some areas in New York, New Hampshire, and Maine receiving up to a foot of snow.
